Chance Blesses Us With His Coloring Book

Three years. THREE YEARS. Rejoice everyone, for the day has finally come. Other than his work on Surf, which we ranked as one of the best albums of 2015, the last solo Chance The Rapper tape we received wasAcid Rap. Blessings have fallen on our lap as Chance has given us his third mixtape, Coloring Book.

Chano has been teasing us on Snapchat and Twitter for quite some time now. From performing “Blessings” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, posting the beautiful cover art posters all over, and today releasing “No Problem” featuring Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz, the hype has been unbelievable. Spanning 14 tracks with an incredible guest list featuring the likes of fellow Chicagoans Kanye West and Saba; the project can be predicted to have heavy gospel vibes and uplifting melodies based off of the first two singles, including “Angels” which released earlier this year. Chance has also been making some extra buzz with a petition that would make free music eligible for Grammy awards. This would bode nicely for Chance, as this tape could be the one that does it based on evidence provided on “Ultralight Beam” from The Life Of Pablo.

“He said let’s do a good ass job with Chance 3 / I hear ya gotta sell it to snatch the grammy / Let’s make it so free and the bars so hard / that there ain’t one gosh darn part you can’t tweet”

Make sure to download this tape, as you know, it’s FREE. You gotta love Chance for that. Coloring Book is also available on Chance’s website and iTunes. Let us know what you think of Chance’s latest project and keep your eyes peeled at True Too for the Coloring Book review.
