Curren$y arriving at Chicago’s Metro Smartbar

Hip Hop’s New Orleans’ weed rapper Curren$y has been making moves the past couple years, especially with the release of his latest album Canal Street Confidential. The CEO of Jet Life Recordings has been on tour across the states to promote his current album and it’ll be a wonderful summer night if you’ve ever listened to any of his songs. A lighter being primed before a track begins is practically an ad-lib of his own and the artist wishes to bring his clever wordplay and lyricism to Chicago’s Metro Smartbar on June 1st.

Last summer, Spitta released “Bottom of the Bottle” featuring August Alsina, last year’s smooth-singing XXL Freshman of 2015 and one of Hip Hop’s greats, Lil Wayne.

With appropriate features for the trend that Curren$y lies under, it’s important to note that his catalog is massive. With Pilot Talk I and II being TrueToo favorites, The Stoned Immaculate is his highest ranking album to date, taking the number 2 spot on US Billboard’s Rap and R&B charts for 2012.

Curren$y has been making moves the past couple years by being featured in publications such as Entertainment Weekly and ESPN,

Cop Canal Street Confidential on iTunes, catch Curren$y at the Metro on June 1st, and follow Curren$y on Twitter. For more on Hip Hop around your area, current events, and history, keep reading on at TrueToo.
