Twisted and trippy is how one might describe a lot of Travis Scott‘s past visuals, and the new video for “Goosebumps” falls right in line with that description. Now, don’t get it even more twisted (pun intended) because those are compliments. A lot of Travis’ video work has been exceptional and mighty creative. While one could argue the direction seems completely random, there is definitely a method to La Flame’s madness. This might be the biggest single off of Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, so the track definitely deserves a visual of this magnitude.
Directed by BRTHR, the “Goosebumps” video is sort of a metaphor for Travis’ wild lifestyle. There’s partying and girls, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t demons afoot. To match along with the intense substance the visual is heavily tricked out with various effects. Like one of Travis’ braids turning into a snake. Or perhaps the way one scene melts into the next. It’s very striking and powerful, making for a fun watch. Kendrick Lamar makes a guest appearance to accompany his dope verse as he lays in the grass and then bonds with Travis. It all comes full circle at the end when Travis is given a pair of wings, and he is able to take place on his throne as king of the birds. You can catch it all on Apple Music.

The visual comes at a perfect time as Travis has a lot of plans for the year. He is working on his third album Astroworld, reportedly has a collabo album with Quavo, is starting his own record label Cactus Jack Records, and has his Birds Eye View tour coming up. Talk about plans right? After the success of Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, one can only prepare for inevitable takeover that Travis has up his sleeve. Stay tuned on True Too for what’s to come for Travis Scott the rest of the year.
