Kendrick Lamar Finally Releases Unreleased Tracks as “untitled unmastered”

It began on December 16, 2014 during the closing week of Comedy Central’s Colbert Report, when Kendrick Lamar decided to perform the first of a series of ‘untitled’ tracks he had created and stashed away. The second ‘untitled’ performance came on The Tonight Show, and the last during his stellar Grammys performance. After a great deal of speculation that the public would never receive official releases of these songs all doubt has been dispelled after the surprise release of untitled unmastered. The EP borrows a great deal from the To Pimp A Butterfly Kendrick, with most of the tracks originating from 2014 recording, save for the sole 2013 and 2016 appearances. This isn’t a huge surprise after TDE’s CEO announced a project would drop at a random moment this week, although a different TDE artist was expected. The EP can be found on both iTunes and Spotify, and stay tuned to True Too for all you TDE and Kendrick Lamar news in the future. Pimp pimp, hooray!
