Piers James is one of the UK’s most promising up-and-comers, and after only three years in the game, the London-born artist has been making splashes on all of the biggest websites. From Complex to Sabotage Times. James recently dropped the first single off of his upcoming EP, Green Screens in Visible View.
“80’s Baby” showcases James’ voice and flow. His piercing voice is reminiscent of Andre 3000 while still being unique to his own respects. Piers James has a very articulate flow within his accent spitting “It’s kinda rude, but it’s suited to the sky limit. Smooth how my mind moves through planets,” over an old-school instrumental.
The song is really true to its name, as it feels like something that could have charted back in the day.
