With his album Always Strive and Prosper (the phrase A$AP stands for) right around the corner, A$AP Ferg has dropped a potential single/loosie to tide us over until its release. “Tatted Angel” sees Ferg open up a bit more like he did on his Ferg Forever mixtape, and the loss of A$AP Yams coupled with his rise to stardom has him feeling some type of way.
Shit, I’m goin’ through a lot. Art Basel night out but I’m caught up in the spot.
“Tatted Angel” contains a melancholic beat that fits the somber some Ferg and is coupled with eerie fading synths wafting in and out over basic drums. To our dismay, the song slowly fades out as Ferg starts a second verse. The nagging feeling of something missing makes it unclear whether this song is a preview for the upcoming sophomore album or just something Ferg felt like dropping for the hell of it. The art for the track is interesting as well, a clear tribute to Yams and possibly the cover for ASAP, most likely painted by the artistically inclined Trap Lord himself.
