Listen: Elephant 12 – All Aboard on the Moon

Hailing from East London, Elephant 12 is an indie-rock/hip-hop duo made up of Jerome Cooke on vocals and Robbie Pinno on guitar. They bring together the best of rock and rap, creating a sound that is not only catchy but refreshing. These blended elements are very evident on their newest single, “All Aboard.”

“All Aboard” begins with some hard hitting bass lines as Cooke comes in to show off his flow. The track definitely has a punk vibe to it with the edginess peaking as the song builds to the hook, which is where things really let loose. Towards the end of the song Pinno begins to just shred on the guitar, creating an epic closing. Hearing “All Aboard” sounds like a reincarnation of N.E.R.D

It’s evident that the flow so eloquent / Major with the bars / Minor key so delicate

It’s hard to place Elephant 12 into just one genre, and that’s a good thing. These guys are taking all styles of music and letting it rock. Take a listen to “All Aboard” below, and if you liked what you heard make sure to check out the rest of Elephant 12’s latest EP, Hellophantastic.
