NxWorries (pronounced No Worries) is made up of LA based producer who worked on Kendrick’s TPAB Knxwledge and man of the moment R&B singer/songwriter Anderson .Paak. Coming off the back of a world tour with Earl Sweatshirt the duo decided it was perfect time to create some hype for their upcoming full length release in 2016 with Link Up & Suede EP.
The project clocks in at 14 minutes long and only features 3 proper full length tracks that features both artists. “Link Up” is an excellent showcase of great old school sampling from Knxwledge and the uniquely incredible vocals and story telling ability from Anderson. Also on the album is “Suede” which seemed to be the inspiration for the whole project. With brutally honest lyrics and soul-touching production, this track contains everything you want from this duo.
All my chicks cook grits
And roll a spliff, at the same time
The next “full” track on the project is “Droogs” which features Anderson’s vocals under heavy AutoTune (not Kanye AutoTune but like funky 70s AutoTune) and Knxwledge takes those vocals and cuts and chops them together to make a retro west coast jam. In between these tracks are short 1-Minute interludes which consists of Knxwledge jamming out and creating beautiful old school sample loops.
