Whilst Skepta has recently been associated with bangers like “That’s Not Me” and “Shutdown”, his more relaxed songs are of equal quality, shown on his new song with A$AP Nast and D Double E which premiered on the most recent instillation of OVO Sound Radio. The track draws parallels to Skepta’s “Red Eye to Paris” with the Flatbush Zombies, as you can already picture Skepta asking the crowd to light up to this at a show. It also represents another collab with BBK and A$AP Mob after they battled at Culture Clash back in 2014.
Blending together the “Purple Swag” sound that A$AP Rocky/Mob first introduced to us, the unique flow of seasoned grime rapper D Double E and topping it off with a classic Skepta verse, the song works perfectly, highlighting the versatility of the rapper.
