Goldlink dropped a new track called “Spectrum,” the lead single off his debut album And After That, We Didn’t Talk. His first track release in two months, the DC rapper doesn’t disappoint; opening with a sample of Missy Elliott’s “She’s A Bitch” and making your speakers fly out the window from the bass and nostalgia.

Young nigga, no whip / my niggas legit / And I pray for my clan and my squad / while I run through your clique

Goldlink enters the track firing away, a natural Usain Bolt on the track while still flowing in a smooth stride. The song sounds typical-a modern single trying to be a modern single that’s EDM-inspired and suited for a nightclub or rave. With such an active tempo, the instrumental may be an intimidating challenge for most artists but Goldlink makes it seem like a walk in the park provided that his voice is a natural fit on the Louie Lastic produced joint.

And After That, We Didn’t Talk drops November 13th and is available for pre-order on iTunes. You can listen to “Spectrum” below.
