Following the success of freestyle “WICKEDSKENGMAN 4”, Stormzy has dropped a new freestyle, rapping over Ghetts’ “One Take” instrumental.
This new freestyle from Stormzy sees him travel to the streets of Tokyo, following Ghetts’s bar on the original track: “rudeboy, visit Japan”. Stormzy covers a range of topics on this track, most notably the lack of diversity at the BRITs which saw no black artists nominated for the major UK categories. Stormzy also makes many references throughout the track, specifically dissing boxer Dillian Whyte who sent shots at Stormzy after losing to Anthony Joshua last month.
With Stormzy’s song “Shut Up” reaching the Top 10 in the UK Christmas Charts and the success of previous charting freestyle “WICKEDSKENGMAN 4,” “One Take” looks set to be one of the biggest grime tracks of the 2016, as we await an announcement for a new project.
