On Behalf of All Frank Ocean Fans

I think I speak on behalf of all Frank Ocean fans when I say that we are tired of waiting. R&B singer and rapper Frank Ocean has not dropped a solo project since “Channel ORANGE”  which came out on July 10, 2012. It was a critical and commercial success that went on to win a Grammy at the 55th Grammy Awards for best Urban Contemporary album beating out stars like Chris Brown’s “Fortune” and Miguel’sKaleidoscope Dreams”.

Fast forward 3 years  down the road and here we are with barely even a clue as to what Frank Ocean’s plans are for his sophomore project. All that has been revealed from the lone beacon of light in the cloud of mystery that surrounds Frank Ocean, is the Tumblr/website picture he put up on April 6th 2015 with the image of himself standing infront of two magazines. Accompanied by the hash tags of #ISSUE1 #ALBUM3 #JULY2015 #BOYSDONTCRY

When talking about a beacon of light, this might be a long shot but Hip Hop Facts reported the “apparent” tracklist for the album. This is better than nothing I guess. I can tell you now, the album definitely did not drop that night.

Miguel recently made some controversial comments regarding Frank Ocean, as told to The Sunday Times.

“I wouldn’t say we were friends,” — “To be completely honest — and no disrespect to anyone — I genuinely believe that I make better music, all the way around.

“It’s interesting,” he continued, speaking about the frequent comparisons between his music, Ocean’s, and The Weeknd’s, “but we’ll see who’s in it for the long haul. It’s like a marathon, you know?”

Frank will hopefully see Miguel’s shots as motivation to go beyond the already high expectations of his sophomore album and maybe even change the minds of those who believe Miguel’s comments, better yet it might even make him DROP THE ALBUM! Anticipation for “Boys Don’t Cry” has been building for quite a while now and fans hope that Frank doesn’t fall into the dreaded sophomore slump. The bar has been set very high for Frank Ocean and the ball is in his court, but for now all we can do as fans, is wait.
