Guerrilla Warfare had significant pre-release buzz due to the group’s previous success, and once released, it largely impressed. The album debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums, selling 142,000 copies in its first week.

Guerrilla Warfare was certified RIAA Platinum on November 1, 1999. The album has sold over 1,500,000 copies since its release, and is their most successful album as a group and with Cash Money Records. Guerrilla Warfare remains one of the earliest and most successful records released through the world-renowned Cash Money Records to this day.
