Today on December 16th, 2015 marks Scott Storch‘s 42nd birthday. A hip-hop producer that flew too close the sun, Storch is the one of the living greats, producing hits for artists such as 50 Cent, Nas, Lil Wayne, and many others.

Storch is a New York native from Long Island. Starting his career as a keyboard player for The Roots, he grabbed a spot in the limelight for producing the riffs in the song, “Still D.R.E..”

MTV cited the year 2006 as his most successful, having worked on hits with the likes of Beyoncé, 50 Cent, the Game, T.I., Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, Dr. Dre, Nas, Snoop Dogg, Pink and many others.”

Although successful, Storch also successed in forming a strong cocaine addiction given the shock of success that he was bestowed. In 2012, Storch was taken into custody and was arrested for possession of cocaine. Following his arrest, Storch also lost his Miami mansion; Suntrust Bank taking back owner ship for 5.5 Million USD.

“Storch blamed his downward spiral on a ‘combination of women and drugs’ during a 2013 interview with Vlad TV.”

In 2015, Scott Storch filed for Bankruptcy and burnt the last feather off his wings for flying too close to the sun.
