Ace Hood released his fourth studio album, Trials & Tribulations, through We the Best/Cash Money Records in 2013. The album contained the hit single “Bugatti” which peaked at number 33 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The song has sold over 1,000,000 copies and has been certified RIAA Platinum.

The album features Anthony Hamilton, Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, T.I., 2Chainz and Meek Mill, among others. It was executively produced by DJ Khaled in addition to production from multiple other producers.

Ace Hood explains the meaning of the title, Trials & Tribulations:

I felt like for me to actually get people to support this Trials & Tribulations album, like I needed them to understand what I’ve been through and really kind of visualize and see my trials and tribulations and understand where the passion come from, understand where the hunger come from.

The album debuted at number four on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. Trials and Tribulations received generally favorable reviews from music critics around the world.
