Listen: View – Coldest Season

If you were unaware of the Finland rap scene, you’re about to get familiar. Juuso Ruohonen, better known as View, is coming off the success of his debut EP Avalon and is getting ready to drop his debut album later this year. In preparation for the album drop, View has released “Coldest Season,” a hypnotic and chilling track following the previous release of “Lace.” “Coldest Season” is about how View’s life has changed within the last year, and how View has no plans on doing things other than the way he wants.

With an icy beat that matches the title, View comes in with a tone and flow that lets you know he means business. The beat has a tiny bit of an EDM vibe, with certain drops in the back that really add to the overall sound. This is a calming track that still has the capacity to bite hard. View backs up the nice beat with some heavy, personal rhymes of his own, leading to a hook that would do Fetty Wap and Young Thug proud.

Take a listen to “Coldest Season” below, and if you dug what you heard make sure to check out our interview with View himself, right here. Make sure to keep an eye out for his debut album later this year.
