In the midst of the #Chance3 hype, last night’s guest on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon was the one and only Chance The Rapper. Many speculated that he would be dropping his third mixtape last night, but that was quickly changed when Fallon announced the mixtape would be drop on May 13th. After making these posters available on his website for purchase, Chance has been getting fans exciting by putting up the posters of the mixtape cover across the country.

In his performance, Chano debuted a track off his upcoming mixtape titled “Blessings.” Backed by The Social Experiment, Jamila Woods, and Byron Cage on vocals, the track encapsulates a gospel tune giving thanks to God. With great energy, Chance repeats “When the praises go up, the blessings come down.” Being so blessed with his success as an independent artist, Chance has given back time and time again. The choir in the background adds a layer of soul as Chance raps and front and center. Similar to his recent performance with Kanye West and his track “Ultra Light Beam,” this stays true to what seems to be Chance’s cemented style: modern gospel rap. Staying true to his religious roots yet exciting fans with his lyricism, Chance knows how to perfectly blend soul and hip-hop. This tracks follows themes with his other recent singles like “Angels,” which he recently released the music video for.
Chance was also named “Brand Ambassador” for the Chicago White Soxs but caught some heat from New York Post writer Phil Mushnick, where he claimed that the artist was a bad representative for sports. We strongly disagreed with Mushnick, as Chance has came through for the city of Chicago countless times before.
