Watch: Kendrick Lamar Performs TPAB on Late Show with Stephen Colbert

The second episode of Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show” aired tonight and along with it a world class musical performance orchestrated by none other than Kendrick Lamar. Colbert has been a fan of Kendrick for quite some time now, and the rapper’s last appearance on the “Colbert Report” featured this memorable performance and unreleased fire track. However, this go around, Kendrick went with some more familiar material and a whole new hairdo, sporting some Kawhi Leonard braids. The performance was a mash up of various tracks from Lamar’s critically acclaimed To Pimp a Butterfly, and it was electric. Kdot’s live band that consisted of Thundercat and Bilal, among others put on a great show as well with their cover of “u,” a song you wouldn’t expect to be played live. However, it ended up being a killer finale, drawing a resounding applause from the crowd and strong praise from Colbert himself. Watch the performance here or below.
